What is Yin Yoga?

Yin Yoga is a calm, still and slow-paced style of yoga which works into your physical, emotional and energetic body. You will hold yin yoga poses for 2-10 minutes at a time, supported by props.

Yin yoga provides moderate stress to the body by working deeply into the connective tissue which surrounds your muscles, bones, joints and organs.

Benefits of Yin

Yin Yoga has many physical, emotional and energetic benefits to compliment our yang-dominating world.

Improves Energy Flow

Yin Yoga improves the flow of chi (energy) taught in Chinese Medicine which runs through the Meridian Network in our body. It also stimulates the Indian Chakra System.

Emotional Release

Yin Yoga encourages you to be a witness of your own thoughts and feelings as they surface. Yin teaches you to be compassionate and gentle as you work through blockages.

Reduces Stress & Anxiety

Yin Yoga creates space for the mind to breathe and the body to be still. Physical sensations help you to stay present in the body than the mind, finding a sense of release and calm.

Flexibility & Mobility

Yin Yoga is a powerful tool to change the pattern of fascia surrounding your muscles, joints and organs. A regular practise improves joint mobility, flexibility and posture.
