Join me for a chakra balancing workshop to help stimulate and heal each chakra through the art of Yin Yoga, self-healing and breath.

***This workshop is a sneaky taster for ‘Journeying through the Chakras...' a new course coming to Ookushana Healing Studio in January 2021***


This chakra workshop will give you a brief understanding and insight into the 7 different chakras and how they affect your overall health and wellbeing.

Chakras can become blocked if there is a restricted flow of energy due to thoughts, feelings, memories and experiences. (A Beginner’s Guide to the 7 Chakras)


We will start the workshop with a short chakra meditation to help you arrive, relax and tune into the energetic system. You will then be guided through 7 Yin Yoga poses to help stimulate each energy centre. 

You will hold each yin pose between 2-10 minutes at a time. As you remain still in a yin pose, you will be encouraged to observe each energy centre and notice any physical, emotional or energetic change in the body. We will use the magic of breath and self-healing to work through any blockages finding release and inner peace.

Yin Yoga connects mind, body and soul and facilitates the flow of chi/prana (energy). It helps to stimulate different meridians (energy channels) and chakras (energy centres) in the body.

We will work to open and balance each chakra by increasing the energy flow. You will learn how to connect more deeply with each of the 7 chakras and understand their affect on the physical and emotional body.


Learning about the chakra system can help you to identify blocked and healthy chakras within your own energetic system, and how to work through the blockages to be a healthier and happier you.

What to expect

You will need:

*A yoga mat

*A couple of books or yoga bricks

*A couple of pillows or bolster

*A blanket

Please wear comfy, warm clothes as we will be spending a lot of time on the floor.

 

Extra touches:

*Eye pillow

*Candles

*Cosy socks

 

Important Information

This workshop is hosted on behalf of Ookushana Healing Studio via Zoom. You can watch the session from your iPad, laptop or phone.

The workshop is suitable for complete beginners - no experience needed.

During the workshop you are welcome to turn your camera on or off, but I invite you to keep it on if you feel comfortable to practise as one community.

Please keep your volume turned off until the end of the workshop.
